I have worked in the hair industry for the last 10 years. I absolutely love what I do! In many ways, I'm your typical girly girl. I have always loved getting my hair done. So when I was looking for a career change, I knew exactly the right choice. I had spent 10 years in marketing and public relations (I have my Bachelor's degree in Journalism), but I never felt like I was making a significant difference in the world. I wanted to do more for people.

 

Working behind the chair brings me that opportunity several days a week. I get to connect with people from all walks of life and that brings me true joy. I really love hearing all about my clients' lives. Obviously I enjoy their great days or major milestones, but it also means so much to me when they share their hardships and sad days too. I am so grateful to be a part of their lives!

 

As owner of First & Mane, I have the opportunity to have a similar kind of relationship with all of the stylists here as well.  It is a goal of mine to help them achieve their dreams and aspirations as well as my own. I would love for us all to succeed and better serve the community.

When I'm not working, I am with family. I've been married for almost 20 years and have two children. Avery is 15 and Kaleb is 9, and they are always on the go! If I'm not at the salon, you'll find me on the sidelines of a soccer field or swim meet or at a gathering with the rest of my family and friends.
